the end of Ro season

At the end of the month, Ro, the sunken hearth season will end, until November. I have that wabi feeling, even though it's spring, I won't use the sunken hearth for six months. It is such a warm feeling on a cold day to sit around the fire making tea and enjoying the moment with tea friends. On the other hand, new beginnings, like the buds and flowers opening, will bring a new season in the tea room, Furo. I have a new Furo and a new Kama! This Ro season, I learned Shozumi, preparing charcoal to heat the hot water, an amazing experience. Laying the delicate charcoal, seeing the fire light, and heating hot water for tea, seems like magic. Joy in such a simple action is tea. The first time I completed the process, I almost cried.

Soon the windows will be open with warm summer breezes flowing through. The sound of birds chirping, with the Furo heating hot water for matcha.
